Fethaland Tours is brought to you by David Murray
who together with his father, Douglas, farms the area
known as Fethaland. The Murray family have farmed
and lived in this area for many generations. They 
retain a unique personal history of the area. Douglas
and his parents were the last inhabitants and left in
1944 for the nearby croft of Isbister, the starting
point of the tour.

This is a walking tour as vehicle access is restricted.
You will need to be reasonably fit and enjoy walking.
We will take you on a journey that will lead you back in 
time through the history of crofting, the haaf fishing 
and the archaeological sites that link together to cover 
4000 years of history

We can however shorten the tour by offering 
transport to within 200 metres of the focal point of
Fethaland. We will discuss your needs at the 
time and we will do all we can to help you.
